Homemade Baked Beans

Cooking Time: 25- 30 mins


  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 brown onion chopped
  • 5 rashers bacon chopped roughly
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup golden syrup
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 2 x 400g cans four bean mix
  • 2 x 400g diced tomatoes


Preheat oven to 200C/ 180C fan forced.

Heat oil in an ovenproof dish over medium heat. Cook onion until softened. Add bacon and garlic. Cook stirring until bacon has browned.

Add paprika. Cook, stirring for 1 minute. Add sugar, tomato paste, golden syrup and worcestershire sauce. Cook until combined. Stir in beans and tomato. Bring to the boil.

Bake for 20 minutes or until sauce has thickened and beans are heated through. Now Enjoy!
